Amber diffuser oils

Amber is not a single ingredient but a warm, resinous accord, built on labdanum, benzoin and vanilla, and it is what most people mean when they say a room smells expensive. In a diffuser oil it glows rather than projects: a golden base that makes everything above it feel richer.

Nine ISCENT compositions build on it. Royal Amber is the reference, bergamot and a rose-geranium-violet heart over patchouli, amber, musk, vanilla and tonka, composed for living rooms and entryways. Milano is the darker, evening version, rose and clove over amberwood and musk, for low-lit lounges and winter. At the lighter end, amber is the quiet warmth that keeps a fresh composition from feeling thin: White Tea, Neroli, Whispering Blooms, Atlantis, Fleur de Litchi and Top Of The World all settle onto amber and musk after a citrus or floral opening. Eclat de Bois d'Orange sets it under orange blossom and cedar.

Amber suits the public rooms of a home and the hours after dark: living rooms, entryways, lounges. Cold-air diffusion carries the resins as a dry mist without heat or water, so the accord stays golden rather than turning smoky. A 100 ml bottle in the Ensō lasts about three weeks to a month at roughly eight hours a day; amber is slow to lift, so a low setting in short sessions is enough.
